Cleveland Way
North Yorkshire Moors National Park and the Cleveland Heritage Coast
Highlights
The Cleveland Way is an excellent way to discover the North York Moors National Park and the beautiful and dramatic Yorkshire coast.
This wonderful walking holiday really is a walk of two halves. Beginning in the market town of Helmsley, for the first half of the walk you will hike through the world renowned heather moorland of the North York Moors National Park, taking in the fantastic views across the moors to the east and the Vale of York to the west, before reaching the coastal town of Saltburn.
From Saltburn, the rest of your walk will be over fifty miles of stunning coastal hiking. Heading south, you will take in the picturesque fishing settlements of Staithes and Whitby, the seaside towns of Robin Hood’s Bay, Scarborough and Filey, as well as spectacular cliff-top scenery and wide open beaches.
